Bloomsburry This Donegal design originated in 1898 when Alexander Mortan Co. started weaving carpets in Donegal Ireland. The piece was originally named The Fintona it was displayed at the Grafton Gallery in London during a Libertys exhibition in 1903. This carpet was also available in the catalogues of Gustav Stickley. The carpets design artfully depicts giant hemlock boughs and is a fine example of the Donegal carpets woven during the Arts Crafts period. The carpet was possibly designed by the Silver Studio in 1902 influenced heavily by William Morris as well as C.F.A. Voysey.
